Hello! Welcome to Hossain LAB. I am a principal investigator of the Hossain LAB : Center For Biology, Ecology and Environmental Science. I am wildlife ecologist with specializing in ecotoxicology. In 2025, I have completed a Postdoctoral traning in environmental science and engineering at Jiangsu University, China. I earned my Ph.D. in Ecology (Soil Science) in 2021, specializing in Ecotoxicology, from Huazhong Agricultural University, China, under the prestigious Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC). Previously I completed MSc (Thesis) and BSc (honor’s) in Zoology from Jagannath University, Dhaka as merit student.
I have attended at Hydromedit 2014 in University of Thessaly, Greece. I participated at 3rd International Trainee Symposium in Agri food, Nitration and Health, Winnipeg, University of Manitoba, Canada, and international conference AGU25, New Orleans, LA, USA.
Dr. Hossain primary research investigated on biodiversity, risk assessment, antioxidant, the source-sink relationship of pollutants in fast growth areas of economy and effects of chemical pollutants on organisms and their physiology and on populations and ecosystems. A significant portion of his research is focused on investigating the detrimental effects of human-induced stressors and climate factors on ecosystems. His interests encompass pollutants such as potential toxic elements, and per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), bioaccumulation, remediation strategies, antioxidants, and their impacts on animals, soil invertebrates, plants and parasites. Dr. Hossain has authored over 30 papers published in peer-reviewed international journals and empowering the young scholar and society. Here is CV.
